Autumn in the mountains begins when the slopes turn mauve with heather and the air carries the sweetness of blackberries.
This season’s box posy gathers some of what’s growing around us ~ heather, fern and poppy heads, with a little honesty and oat, tied with bamboo silk ribbon, hand-dyed in avocado and blackberries.
The fragrance is also blackberry but with sandalwood and bay ~ deep, mellow, and rich with bramble.
The quality of our silver is important to us and we are proud to have our work assayed at the Birmingham Assay Office, established in 1773, and situated in the famous Jewellery Quarter.
It is believed that the toss of a coin by the offices’ founder, whilst staying at the Crown & Anchor tavern on the Strand, determined that Birmingham, in the heart of the country and miles from the sea, should adopt the Anchor as its hallmarking symbol.
