A traditional oval belcher chain with a substantial weight and smooth, oval links. Originally named for the 19th-century bare-knuckle boxer Jim Belcher, this simple yet strong design became a staple of Victorian jewellery.
Ours is made in solid sterling silver or 24ct gold plate, with each link individually cast for durability and a comfortable drape. A timeless choice, beautiful worn alone or paired with our charms.
Finished with your choice of fastening ~ either a traditional Albert clasp or T-bar closure, with the option to add a safety chain to either style. Or a free fitting bracelet that can be fastened anywhere along the chain for a comfortable, adjustable fit.
If you’d like to add a medal or coin charm (sold separately) it can be soldered permanently to the ring, or to the chain if you’d like to add more than one. Alternatively, choose an Albert Swivel Clasp for an easy way to move your pendant between different chains or bracelets.
